Fearless Records bets on RinRin
Fearless Records has signed hyper-pop schizo metalcore artist, RinRin, and after her latest single, “fever dream,” you can understand why.
fever dream is a whirlwind track that flips the bird to genre norms which is perfect for the TikTok generation – which loves to claim any new sound their own – often ignoring what came before. To define RinRin’s style is a tough one for anyone who hasn’t flirted with the hyper-schizo leanings of metalcore in recent years.

So what does “fever dream” actually sound like?
Yes, there’s “soaring euphoric melodies”, “blistering guitar work” and “pulsing electronics” as the press release purports. However, I can hear so many influences throughout this short song, whether RinRin knows of them or not. The machine drum aesthetic leans in heavily to French musician Remi Gallego’s The Algorithm. While the punishing guitar work takes us into an alternate reality where Poppy and Electric Callboy rampage through a manga drenched wilderness – completely unchecked.
Combined with its fun, catchy lyrics, you get the feeling this track could easily be the theme song to an anime you haven’t heard of or a midnight drive which spirals out of control. “fever dream” won’t move mountains or change your life but it’ll get you out of that slump.

A Hype Song for the Bad Days
As RinRin confesses:
“This song’s a hype song for when you’re feeling down. You’re not going to let your sadness stop you from achieving your goals and dreams. Being sad is basic bitch shit… who wants to do that?”
RinRin is the kind of music to feed your always busy, out-of-control telepathic brain and fuel your energy drink freakout.
