Created by Thomas Eriksen, Mork originally smashed its way into the underground with debut album ‘Isebakke’ eventually surfacing in 2013. Since then, Mork has been ceaselessly rising through the echelons of Black Metal, with intense and groundbreaking releases like ‘Syv’ – which resulted in the band touring as far as my own home country, Australia. Now, Eriksen continues on this evolutionary path with new album, MONOLITT, set for release via Peaceville on June 19.

Now, Mork shares the second single, ‘Torden’, alongside a new video produced by Matthew Vickerstaff.

“This energetic track captures the moment when storm hits. When the elements have had enough and it is time to wash everything away in anger. It’s big and epic at the same time of being crushing and relentless. A track that gets the blood boiling.”

Torden unleashes a storm in its purest form. It’s raw, untamed, and relentless. As the upcoming single from the new album, the track stands as a powerful statement of where Mork is right now: sharper, more intense, and more focused than ever. Driven by surging riffs, thunderous momentum, and an atmosphere that feels both epic and suffocating, Torden captures the moment just before everything breaks, and the chaos that follows. It’s aggressive without losing its sense of scale, cinematic without sacrificing its bite.

This song is an absolute force of nature. A surge of energy, fury, and purpose that signals a new chapter, one where everything is torn down, only to be rebuilt stronger than before.

“A stark monument to the unrelenting brutality of reality, the monolith looms above us, immovable, indifferent, eternal. Its crushing presence bears down on the spirit, suffocating hope and testing the limits of endurance. It is an experience carved in stone, unyielding”. – Thomas Eriksen
