REVIEW

The Innkeepers is Ti West’s slow-burn ghost story, set in the Yankee Pearl Inn, a New England hotel closing for good. Underachieving employees Claire and Luke decide to spend their final shifts hunting for proof of the hotel’s resident ghost, Madeline O’Malley — a bride allegedly murdered and hidden in the basement by the original owners generations ago to avoid a scandal.

Claire, far more invested in the mystery than Luke, starts running EVP sessions and prowling the empty hotel at night. She’s egged on by a strange guest, Leanne, a former actress turned psychic. Leanne senses something is deeply wrong and warns Claire, creepily, to leave the spirit alone.
